Neapolitan Ice Cream Scented Play Dough Recipe

Neapolitan Ice Cream Scented Play Dough Recipe smells and looks like real Neapolitan ice cream.  Children will have hours of fun playing and moulding the play dough into yummy pretend desserts and ice cream cones.

Chocolate Scented Play Dough Recipe

What you will need?

1 cup Plain Flour

1 tbsp Oil

1 Cup Warm Water

½ Cup Salt

2 tsp Cream of Tartar

¼ Cocoa Powder

50ml Chocolate Essence (found in the baking isle at the supermarket)

No colouring is required as the chocolate essence and cocoa powder provide the chocolate colour.

How to make it?

1. Pour all dry ingredients, flour, salt, cocoa powder and cream of tartar together in a saucepan.
2. Add water, chocolate essence and oil to dry ingredients.
3. Whisk before heating to remove lumps and blend the ingredients well.
4. Cook over medium heat constantly stirring until it becomes a thick blob.
5. Then turn out play dough onto a clean surface and knead into a smooth ball. Be careful the play dough will be very hot!  Use a little bit of flour if the play dough is sticky.
6. Store in a plastic zip lock bag or air tight container.

Strawberry Scented Play Dough Recipe

What you will need?

1 cup Plain Flour

1 tbsp Oil

1 Cup Warm Water

½ Cup Salt

2 tsp Cream of Tartar

50ml Strawberry Essence (found in the baking isle at the supermarket)

Pink or red food colouring

How to make it?

1. Pour all dry ingredients, flour, salt, and cream of tartar together in a saucepan.
2. Pour the 50ml of strawberry essence into the 1cup measuring cup and then fill the remainder of the cup with water.
3. Add water, strawberry essence and oil to dry ingredients.
4. Add drops of food colouring to the mixture until desired colour is achieved.
5. Whisk before heating to remove lumps and blend the ingredients well.
6. Cook over medium heat constantly stirring until it becomes a thick blob.
7. Then turn out play dough onto a clean surface and knead into a smooth ball. Be careful the play dough will be very hot!  Use a little bit of flour if the play dough is sticky.
8. Store in a plastic zip lock bag or air tight container.

Vanilla Scented Play Dough Recipe
