Sofia, Jake and DocMcStuffins

Sofia the First, Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Doc McStuffins are magical and popular Disney Junior characters that bring heart-warming and positive values stories into the homes of young children.

We have 3 little fans in our house that absolutely adore and enjoy watching these stories from Disney Junior and they love to bring these favourite characters and stories into their playtimes, particularly their imaginative play.

The Disney Junior Website has tonnes of printable activities and games that can be used to enhance and extend this interest and play.

If your child or children love Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins and Jake and the Never Land Pirates like my children do, then you must check out the Disney Junior website where short episodes and sing-along songs can be viewed, games played and activities printed out for crafts, colouring-in and so much more!

Our Favourite Disney Junior Character

Sofia the First Imaginative Play Scene

My 4 year old daughter is absolutely in love with Sofia the First. If you are not familiar with Sofia the First she is a Princess-in-training and the story line focuses on kindness and nurturing values; being a princess is not just about the tiara you wear but comes from within.  I really like the morals portrayed in the Sofia the First episodes as it encourages positive values such as honesty, kindness, persistence when things get tough and so much more.

Imaginative Play Scene Disney Junior

Recently Miss 4 had her birthday and Sofia the First was at the top of her birthday wish list. She has the Sofia figurine and costume and will often escape into an imaginary world of Sofia the First and come up with the most amazing stories.  Sometimes she will even act out or copy the scenes from the Sofia the First Episodes.

To encourage this imaginative play the Disney Junior Website has colouring in pages and printable creative activities such as the Magic Carpet Play Set. I just printed it off and laminated it for durability and added it to Miss 4’s imaginative play.

These colouring and printable activities, games and short episodes are also available for Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Doc McStuffins.

  1. Hi,

My favourite Disney Junior Character is Minimus because he is a symbol of loyalty and striving. Even though he lacks confidence at first, he realizes and believes in his talents while being Sofia’s partner. To Sofia, he is a great and courageous partner.

    Cheers,
    Diem

  2. Sofia The First is who we adore
Especially my youngest daughter, Kayla, aged 4
She loves watching her, often singing along
Sofia The First can do no wrong!
This would make the most wonderful surprise
For Kayla if I won this prize!

  3. Definitely Sofia for my 2 girls. My little boy would probably choose Mikey Mouse, but he knows every word of the Sofia theme song. The Blue Ribbon Bunny, Clover, and Minimus are my two favourites. My girls won’t hear about this, the oldest one always pretends to be Sofia and my middle girls will then be Amber. 🙂

  4. Sofia the First is certainly our favourite. She is my 3.5 year old daughter’s favourite because she is a princess, kind and sweet to people. There is a little lesson with every episode and she loves the pretty dresses of course!

  5. Sofia is my 2. years and 8 months old daughter’s favorite Disney character. She is pretty like my daughter. She is playful and full of adventures. She is friendly to everyone just like my daughter. She owns a pet bunny, my daughter owns a puppy. Sofia helps every person in need same with my daughter she helps me in our household chores. And lastly Sofia is a princess and my daughter is our one and only princess.
